Art in Music
Art in Music is a free program for students in grades 3–5 that explores the connection between music, creativity, and emotional expression. After learning about and listening to Stravinsky’s The Firebird Suite, students will respond through painting or drawing. Selected artwork will be recognized and displayed during Atlanta Metropolitan Symphony’s Awakenings concert on March 7, 2027. Message us if you’d like to participate or have questions!
Ruth Kern Young Artists Competition
Thank you to all of the talented young artists for their submissions. We look forward to discovering the next generation of exceptional musicians in 2027.
The Ruth Kern Young Artists Competition gives student musicians the opportunity to share their talents and grow as performers. Winners will be featured as soloists with Atlanta Metropolitan Symphony during the 2027–2028 season.
