What Remains the Same.

What Remains the Same.

As we move forward as Atlanta Metropolitan Symphony, we know that a name change naturally raises questions. What will change? What will stay the same? What does this mean for the musicians, audiences, partners, and supporters who have been part of this orchestra’s story?

The most important answer is simple: Our Mission Remains the Same.

We remain committed to presenting free concerts that make live symphonic music accessible to the community. We remain a volunteer orchestra built on dedication, collaboration, friendship, and a shared love of music. We remain focused on creating meaningful musical experiences for audiences of all ages and backgrounds.

Our commitment to education and community engagement also continues. Through student programs, local partnerships, outreach initiatives, and collaborations across the region, we will continue using music to build connection, inspire learning, and serve the communities around us.

The word “community” may no longer be in our name, but community remains at the center of who we are.

It lives in our musicians, who give their time and talent to create something larger than themselves. It lives in our audiences, who gather with us for shared musical experiences. It lives in our partnerships, our educational programs, our service projects, and our belief that music should be welcoming and accessible.

Atlanta Metropolitan Symphony reflects who we are becoming, but it does not erase who we have been.

Our name has evolved. Our mission endures. Our commitment to this community remains unchanged.
